I’m still knee-deep in the Laurel Thatcher Ulrich book I wrote about last week, but had to take a break from reading over the weekend after Melissa Michaels sent me a review copy of her new ebook Not A DIY Diva: How To Create an Authentically-Inspired Life in a Pinterest World. It’s a lovely, engaging and down-to-earth read that perfectly drives home the sentiment of this month’s topic: finding contentment, inspiration and refuge in the home you have (instead of wondering why that magazine-cover “dream home” never seems to materialize in your own house.) The lovely quote above seemed like the perfect choice for the last Wise Words Wednesday of October…but really, Melissa’s book is so chock-full of them that it was hard to choose a single quote. I’ve been reading Randy Pausch’s “The Last Lecture”. I am SO glad I was able to find a nice, library-bound copy of this. I will be re-reading this book over and over. He has truly written words to live by.
I guess this book is interesting to read. What captures my heart in this book is, it’s a perfect on the makeovers for the heart..
I would certainly go with reading this book as I believe that home is where the heart is. The tiredness of the entire day goes in thin air when you arrive home. Thanks for sharing details about this book.

I actually just finished reading The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It was an awesome break from the more serious topics I’ve been focusing on lately (Stop saying You’re Fine by Mel Robbins and Love Wins by Robert Bell). Young Adult literature is really a guilty pleasure.
