…I’m now teaching writing classes.
This has been in the works for a long time. I’ve taught one-time workshops in the past, done a lot of mentoring and taught an online class for MediaBistro, but this is my first foray into running my own ongoing classes. But I’ve had so much interest from those readers who want to learn the business side of blogging, learn how to get published in magazines, or who just want to be better writers, that I’m happy to announce I have three classes starting in September!
My classes will be much like my blog – sort of a cross between self-help and inspiration and nuts-and-bolts how-to. The classes are specially structured for busy parents, meaning we will dedicate a lot of time to figuring out how to define your own success, time management tips for working around children, and how to grow both as a mother and a writer.
I’m very excited about the classes I’ve created to begin with – one dedicated to the craft of writing and two dedicated to the business – and hope that readers who are aspiring writers will check them out.
I’m also going to be offering one need- and merit-based scholarship per class, so even if money is really tight for you right now I encourage you to check out the classes anyway and see if they are something that interest you.
Thanks for looking and back to your regularly-scheduled weekend relaxation!

I’m just going to go ahead and take credit for suggesting this class. No thanks necessary.
This is really interesting Megan! Congratulations on your writing class!
