5 Ways to Nurture Your “Not-Mom” Self in 2014

happiness, quotes, Yeats

Back in September we launched a free online program called Beyond Baby for moms who feel ready to reconnect with their dreams and passions outside motherhood. As a community of 500+ and growing, we’ve talked about topics like how (or whether) you know you’re done having babies, redefining your ‘mom job description’ as kids grow older, and finding your fashion sense and home decorating style once you’re beyond that yoga-pants-and-toys-everywhere stage.

Since many of us have been setting intentions and making resolutions over the last few days, I thought I’d share some of the concepts from Beyond Baby to give you some ideas. Whether you like to make official New Year’s resolutions or just find yourself thinking about a fresh start, I hope these ideas will get you thinking about ways to nurture your “not-mom self” in 2014.

You can click the links in the list below to preview a few of the weekly activities from Beyond Baby, and if you’re interested in starting the program yourself, I’d love to have you! There’s no expected level of commitment – you can simply browse the emails as they come through each week, or you can jump in with both feet and guide yourself through the exercises. It’s totally up to you.

We’ll be closing the program to new registrations on January 11, so even if you’re not quite sure if you’re really “beyond baby” yet, I’d encourage you to sign up now. I’m in the process of turning the material from the program into a book, and those who are signed up for the weekly emails will have access to special pricing and other cool stuff.  You can learn more and sign up here.
