Hunker down with some HGTV eye candy

by Meagan Francis on October 30, 2012

Wow! What a storm I watched unfold on TV and via Twitter and Facebook last night. I hope all of you on the East Coast are OK.

Here in the Midwest, we’ve had surprisingly strong winds that kept waking me up all night, and today, Clara woke up with a cough. So the two of us are bundled up today, laying low and trying to remember to be grateful that we have power and dry floors.

If you’re cuddled up or hunkered down, I thought you might enjoy looking at some of my latest HGTV Gardens posts for some eye candy and fall flavor!

  • 5 Unique Pumpkin Seed Recipes. Sure, the old standby toss-with-oil-and-salt recipe is yummy, but here are some new and fun ways to use those seeds!
  • Ghouls in the Garden: Outdoor Halloween Parties. Okay, so the weather is not going to allow outdoor parties for most of us this year, but this post is full of fun eye candy anyway!
  • Great Pumpkins: Heirloom Varieties You’ll Want To Know (And Grow!) Just check out this roundup of beautiful heirloom pumpkins in every shade from yellow to blue!

Hope you enjoyed that little distraction from all the storm damage. Please weigh in and let us know how you’re faring in your neck of the woods!
