Anyone else have sort of…a thing for cleaning supplies?
I admit it: I’m a sucker for good-smelling sprays and scrubs, and enjoy making my own household cleaners from vinegar, baking soda, and essential oils. Products that smell great seem to make the job of cleaning house that much more enjoyable, don’t you think?
In my latest video I share some of my favorite household cleaners from brands like Seventh Generation and Mrs. Meyers Clean Day, and include recipes on how to make your own gentle, non-toxic cleaning supplies from common household ingredients. Check it out!
I’d love to hear about your favorite household cleaners – or recipes for the ones you make yourself. Comment below or over on the video itself!
Also, be sure to read more about our Fall Deep Cleaning Challenge if you haven’t already joined in. We’re still in week 1 so there’s plenty of time to get your house clean, top-to-bottom.
I have one favorite household cleaner…my husband!
Long ago we learned that I can’t (and don’t want to) clean to his standards so he manages the deep cleaning. I will cook, straighten up, do dishes and laundry but he does all the other stuff!
We both work full time outside the home so we both play to our strengths with the household chores.
I regularly use Seventh Generation and Method, and I make my own all-purpose cleaner. I also rely heavily on baking soda and white vinegar. I’d like to make all of my own cleaning products, but (a) time and (b) I fall prey to packaging. It’s true.
I also really like the Ecover products used by the housecleaning service I hired for the month around Baguette’s birth, but those seemed to often come as concentrates that needed to be diluted in bucketfuls of water, and that’s more than I can take on right now.
Hi, Meagan! I am really glad I found your website! Thank you for sharing your experience with us! I’m a mother, too. And of course I’m trying my best for my children! Greets!
