We have a winner! Scroll to bottom of the post to find out who won.
As you probably have figured out, I’ve been pregnant – and a new mom – quite a few times. And while my second pregnancy and beyond never quite matched the information-seeking fervor of that first one, for me there’s nothing like expecting a baby – even if it is the fifth – for causing a sudden, uncontrollable desire to do extensive research on the best baby butt creams and uterus-toning herbal teas.
If you can relate, you’ll understand why I was so excited when CitrusLane.com asked me to be on their panel of mom bloggers. Think of Citrus Lane as a jelly-of-the-month club, but instead of a monthly delivery of spreadable fruit, you’ll get a beautiful gift box containing 4-5 fun and highly-recommended baby products. The products are tailored to baby’s age, and you can subscribe at any time (boxes are designed for babies up to 18 months old.) Basically, they’re lovely monthly care packages from moms, for moms.
Check out the brands included in some of the gift boxes – they include long-lived trusted brands like Weleda and Baby Bjorn, along with newer gems like Aden + Anais (they make those awesome huge muslin swaddle blankets) and Plum Organics. Each box costs $25 but contains up to $50 in retail product, so it’s a great value.
I’ll be blogging weekly at CitrusLane.com about pregnancy, new mom-hood and beyond – you can check out my first post here. I’d love if you’d stop by and say “hello!”
To celebrate our partnership, Citrus Lane will be giving one of my readers a three-month subscription to Citrus Lane. Use it for yourself, or give it to a friend or family member who’s got a little one. It’s a gift I would have been thrilled to get.
Here’s how to enter:
- Leave a comment on this post!! Do you think this is as cool an idea as I do? Would you keep the boxes for yourself or send them to a friend?
- For additional entries (up to 2), you can check out the Citrus Lane Facebook page (a “like” is always appreciated) and/or stop by my first CitrusLane blog post and say “hello.” Then come back and leave an additional comment(s) on this post letting me know you did! (I can’t enter you more than once if you don’t leave the additional comments, so don’t forget that part.)
Winner will be chosen randomly from all entries using the plugin “And The Winner Is.” Contest will end at 3 PM EST on Wednesday, Sept 21, and I’ll announce a winner in this post by Friday, September 23. Thanks, and good luck!
Using the plugin “And The Winner Is”, I randomly selected one commenter to win the Citrus Lane subscription. The winning comment is:

Congrats Katie! Citrus Lane will be in touch soon. Thanks to everyone who entered!
Very cool idea! They have some great products in those boxes. I would probably give them as gifts, but would be tempted to keep one myself!
Love this idea! Would make a fantastic shower gift!
This is genius! It’s going to be my new go-to shower gift.
I “like” Citrus Lane on FB.
I would keep it! I have a 17 wk old daughter at home!
I would have loved this while pregnant, but that’s not happening again… I would definitely gift to my beautiful friend A, who is due in November.
This is such a cool idea! I would love to get a goody box like that!

What a fantastic gift idea!
What a great idea! It would be nice to get a present every month. There’s always that initial rush right after the baby arrives, but celebrating every month would be so sweet.
Love your blog, Meghan. I’m expecting #3 in 3 weeks and think this would be such a great thing to receive for ME! Great company!

Wow, sounds really cool! Would love to sample some of their wares for my twins!
I love it, for others and also for myself 🙂
This is so cool!! I would keep the 18-month box, then give away the two boxes for younger munchkins.
I think it’s fantastic. I’d keep the boxes for myself – our baby #3 is 17 weeks old, and since he’s the third he has very few new things that are his alone…for that matter, with 3 littles, I don’t get many new things that are mine alone, either 🙂
That does sound nice. I’m past the baby stage (my youngest is about to turn 3) so I’d probably give the boxes to a friend…I have a couple who are going to have babies in the next six months!
I think this a great idea for busy people who have no idea what a new mom needs, but want to give a thoughtful gift. I would keep this round for myself if I won, since I am due in January!
Neat idea – I have some friends/relatives just having kids, and I gotta say, things have so changed in the last 7 years – even more cool products! I would love to give as a gift!
Getting one of these boxes delivered to my door would feel like Christmas. I have a two year old and a ten month old. Sometimes I’m on cloud nine of motherhood and other times, I’m in the trenches.
What a great idea!
I live in an isolated Inupiaq Eskimo village, so care packages are my life!
Wow, that is a really cool idea! I think my daughter’s big enough right now that I’d probably pass them on to my friends that have teeny tiny babies. But I might have to keep this in mind for my next pregnancy…
And I just went and commented on your blog post on Citrus Lane!
And then I went and liked Citrus Lane on FB. Those french toast and bacon cupcakes are crazy!
Love the idea! So much fun!
I rarely treat myself so I would definitely keep these. I love the idea of getting monthly “gifts”. I’m also super practical so if they add diapers, baby foods and maybe some pre-made food for sleep-deprived parents, it would be perfect!
Oh, I would love to win! We’re expecting a new baby in February/March and this would be such a lovely thing.
I love this idea! It would be like a little “baby shower” each month! I would keep it and use the gear for my four month old! Thanks for the chance!

I made a comment on your citrus lane post. Can’t wait to read more!
I love this idea!! I would keep it for myself as I just had a baby 2 weeks ago! But am going to keep this in mind for upcoming shower gifts as well.

Even though I have a little one of my own at home (6 months old!) this would make for a very cool baby shower gift! My brother-in-law and new wife are having a sweet baby in February!!
This is one surprise I think I’d like – what a great idea!
I liked the Citrus Lane FB page
I am totally in love with this concept and I have asked my hubby to gift me with a year for Christmas…so we’re prepared for baby #2

What a really neat idea! I love that the gifts are innovative and practical, yet items that any mom would be thrilled to receive. Being a mom isn’t always easy and this offers a monthly reminder about how special motherhood is.

Liked Citrus Lane on Facebook and checked out your blog – great intro!
Heather
I love the subscription idea – let it come to you and it’s a great surprise in the mail (which usually not a bundle of good news)…Thx!
I’m expecting my first, so I would love the variety of new products to try out as I figure out my way!
Oooh…I love getting packages in the mail! I’d probably keep one for my 6 month old, and pass on the other boxes to friends with younger babies.
Visited and commented on your Citrus Lane blog.
What a fabulous ides! I think I would keep it for myself. I have a one month old…. Thanks!
I love this idea! I love the aspect of surprise in the gifts…it would probably make me want to keep them all for myself! 🙂
Also, I liked Citrus Lane on Facebook!
And commented on your post over at Citrus Lane as well!
I love this idea, and would probably keep it for myself 🙂
I liked CH on FB.
I love these boxes and would keep it for myself 🙂 The subscription idea is so fun.

Keep it! Keep it! A creative idea for a gift too. It would be like Christmas every month!
Great idea, I had never heard if this before. Would definitely love it for my coming addition!
I just commented on your citrus lane post

I love this idea! And I would keep the boxes myself as I have a 9m old baby girl. But if I did find anything I didn’t like I’d send it along to one of my two friends expecting in November.
I love this idea!! I have a dear friend who was married right as I was having my second child and I totally dropped the ball on her wedding gift, so I would love to be able to give her something like this now that her first little one has arrived!
I love it! My husband hates me for it but I’m always sharing everything…
I would have LOVED this as I love getting packages in the mail. I would pass this along to a friend who is expecting a baby very soon. Thanks!
My friend just had her first child. I woulthe idead love to give her this as a gift. Thanks for the idea!
Checked out your first post at CitrusLane.
I “LIKE” Citrus Lane on facebook.
I would love to give this to my sister who is hard to shop for and just had her second. It is nice that they research new items. No one can keep up with that and not get paid for it 🙂
I think it’s a pretty cool idea but I do find it a bit expensive. That being said, all “jelly of the month” type things are a bit expensive. I would love to receive it though! If I won, I’d definitely keep it for myself as it would be cool to have something new for my second child, who as of now, is getting pretty much all hand-me-downs. My BFF is having a baby too though and I suppose I could share with her 😛
What an awesome idea! Living overseas, mail is definitely a highlight of my week, and getting a care package every month would be lovely. That said, one of my friends is having her first baby in a couple of months, so I might decide to gift the subscription to her instead of hoarding it myself. 🙂
What a wonderful idea – I like the idea of it coming with a friendly tip list customised for that particular age/stage of the baby’s development. It would be a lovely present for our friends with bubs who live overseas…
Yes, this is a great idea. I wish I had known about this sooner since I know a lot of new moms that I have had to buy shower gifts for recently.
Just read the blog post on Citrus Lane. Nice job! Leaving an additional comment here…
yes, it is the coolest idea! and since i’m pregnant right now, i would have to keep it for myself
Love this idea! Might have to keep it for myself….
I like the Citrus Lane Facebook page!
Brilliant idea. Basically any company targeting moms of babies under a year is set up to succeed. Fabulous gift idea too.
I love the idea of a “goodie” box every month. If it is filled with treasures for my little one, even better. Even though, my son is almost a year, I would love to receive a box like this for him and me.
I visited the Citrus Lane FB site and liked it! I am eager to see what other posts they share . . . I liked the kids’ room ideas.
Me again . . . I visited your post at the Citrus Lane blog and left a comment. I look forward to hearing more of what you have to say and being encouraged and inspired!
LOVE this idea. Maybe for my sister in law??? Very cool! Thanks for hosting!

My sister in law is expecting her first and the baby will be the first grandSON on both my hubby’s and my side!! I am so excited, but we live about 600 miles apart…so this would be great to be able to send to let them know we are thinking of them!!
I have a 15-month old, so I could check out their boxes for the next three months! What a cool concept– who doesn’t like getting presents in the mail?
I love this idea! Who doesn’t like getting mail?! And baby stuff!
I do think I’d keep the boxes for myself. 🙂 I might share some of the contents with my Mommy friends (and certainly urge them to sign up!).
Fun idea. I’m bummed out that I’m past the 18 month stage so it’s not something I would use. But I have a co-worker who is pregnant that I’d love to give this to, so I hope I win!
What an awesome idea! I love trying new products, especially if they will make raising two little ones easier.
I commented on your Citrus Lane post, what fun!
