Help women in need with Asha & Christine of Minimalist Parenting

In the busy-ness of day-to-day life, my very ordinary first-world “problems” – for example, the unexpected brake system overhaul I needed two weeks ago, followed by another unexpected repair in my husband’s car – can sometimes cloud my perspective.

I’m always grateful, then, to be reminded of the devastating obstacles to health and happiness that people all over the world experience every single day.

Right now, my friends Christine Koh and Asha Dornfest — co-authors of Minimalist Parenting — are donating 100% of royalties for books purchased via to WOMEN AT RISK, an Ethiopian organization that helps women lift themselves out of prostitution via practical support, job training, and viable employment.

Most of us can’t even imagine living in a world where prostitution would be the only possible way to feed our families, but it is the reality for the brave women who are working so hard to change their and their children’s futures. You can make it more possible for them to succeed.

To #HelpWomenAtRisk, you can can involved by purchasing a copy of Minimalist Parenting using this special Amazon link: any time between now and October 31.

Better yet, buy several copies and give them away to friends – it’s a fabulous book that fights back against the pressures of modern American parenting, reminding us that what we are already doing, who we are to our children, is enough.

You can find out more at, and you can learn more about Christine, Asha, and Minimalist Parenting in the podcast we recorded last spring. Please consider helping out!
