Letters to myself as a new mom

I’m very excited to announce the launch of the Disney Baby blog, where I’ll be blogging regularly about pregnancy and new mom life. The blog is hopping with content from a fantastic roster of writers (see a complete list here at Handmade Charlotte) and will be offering craft and activity tips, advice for parents and more. Here’s a sneak peek at my first post:

I’ve often wished that Me Now could go back and talk to myself right after my oldest son was born, to give “me-then” some honest advice, tell “me-then” what a great job I was really doing…and let “me-then” know that everything was going to be all right.

In fact, I thought it would be a fun to write a series of letters back and forth from Me, 1997, to Me, 2012. How might a conversation between me as a new mom and me as a veteran mom go down? Let’s imagine:

Dear Me-2012:
I went shopping today and noticed that all the summer clothes are on clearance. Do you think I should pick up a couple of bikinis for next summer? I’ll be skinny again, right?…

Please head over to Disney Baby to check out the rest of my post! And if you’re curious about the kind of content I’ll be writing over here, you might want to check out my posts leading up to the Disney Baby launch:

My goal at Disney Baby is to bring pregnant women and moms of little ones ages 0–2 or so reassuring, helpful, and encouraging advice. I would love if you’d share my posts with an expecting or new mom you know!
